With that being said, the former SmackDown women’s champion has nothing going on right now, and with Mania approaching, it is confusing as to what the company holds for Asuka at the Showcase of Immortals.

Charlotte dropping the title seems like the right choice simply because Asuka’s only shot at competing at WrestleMania is by being involved in the SmackDown title picture.

A rematch with Charlotte is off the cards simply because the Queen is set to main event the PPV alongside Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, and any other match wouldn't make sense.
