Another past legend from the WWE and WCW, Kevin Nash, once said that ‘Vanilla Midgets’ will never be big money draws. He was referring to the smaller, more gifted in-ring performers who could work circles around performers like Goldberg, but looked like the Average Joe next door.
Be it Hulk Hogan, or The Rock, or Brock Lesnar or even John Cena, each of these performers looked like big, tough, imposing guys who were certified Superstars. They seem like a big deal on pay-per-view posters and actually manage to sell tickets for the event.
Goldberg fits this mould and is your definition of the classic tough babyface who cannot be stopped at absolutely any cost. A physique like his, even at 49, draws many casual fans to the WWE product.
