Neither woman looked weak coming out of this extreme match
There's always the risk of diluting the momentum of a performer by having him/her take a loss. Take Asuka for instance. She's never been the same since she lost her match at WrestleMania 34 to Charlotte Flair. But with Rousey's interference, neither of the 'losers' in the match seemed weak.

The match could have gone either way had Rousey not interfered. All three women involved in the match were protected as a result and now SmackDown Live has three women at the very same level. When they do compete down the line, their matches could go several ways, in the eyes of the WWE Universe.
It was Asuka's night at TLC. But it could have been anyone's night from the way the match was poised before Rousey's interference.
Kudos to WWE for thinking this angle through.
