5 reasons why Ronda Rousey's WWE run is doomed to fail

#1 Diminishing appeal

It’s no secret that WWE is a certified publicity hound and while Ronda Rousey's surprise return at The Royal Rumble provided a lot of that, its most likely not going to be that way forever. In fact, WWE could very well lose interest in Rousey after the media storm dies down and everyone has seen her compete in a WWE ring.

Unfortunately for Rousey, who left UFC after losing back to back matches for The Bantamweight Championship against Holly Holms and Amanda Nunez, WWE has soured on other headline grabbers before and very well could again if The WWE Universe doesn't respond to Rousey how they want them to.

With that being said, once Rousey wins whatever title she goes after and one day defeats Asuka's streak, WWE will literally have nothing left they can do with her. Yeah, they can trot her out for special appearances and maybe even give her a run with The Universal title if the right opponent is presented, but that's probably not going to last very long either.

In the end, her appeal will diminish, WWE's publicity will diminish and WWE will realize that they wasted their time for all the wrong reasons. What are your thoughts? Let us know in the comments below!
