Ronda Rousey has only been part of the wrestling world for five months and already has a Raw Women's Championship match this weekend at Money in the Bank.

Only Sportskeeda gives you the latest Wrestling News, rumors and updates.

The former UFC Champion has had just one televised match on WWE TV, which was a tag team match at WrestleMania 34 where she teamed up with Kurt Angle in a winning effort over Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Nia Jax's challenge was laid down a few weeks ago and when Rousey accepted there were a number of WWE fans who shook their head in disbelief since there is a chance that The Baddest Woman On The Planet could become The Raw Women's Champion in a week's time.

#5 It's too Soon

Ronda Rousey made her official WWE debut at The Royal Rumble back in January, which means that the former UFC star has only been a WWE star for five months. Even AJ Styles had to wait seven months from his debut until he won the World Championship for the first time, so why are the rules different for Rousey?

Ronda is a draw, but WWE made this mistake with Brock Lesnar, the Raw Women's Championship has been prestigious in the years that it's been an active title and the company can't afford to make that mistake with the Women's Championship right now after a few impressive reigns from Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks and Charlotte.

#4 Rousey has only had one match

Even though Ronda Rousey pointed out that she had signed a full-time contract with WWE and that she would be at every episode of Raw, she has still only had one match. The 31-year-old competed at WrestleMania in a tag team match with Kurt Angle and despite not having a match since she was given a Women's Championship match.

Strangely it was Nia Jax who challenged Rousey even though Jax is the Champion and in the weeks since this challenge was accepted Ronda has failed to step in the ring and show what she has in a singles match. The WWE Universe still don't know what to expect from the UFC Hall of Famer, which leaves an era of uncertainty around this match.

#3 Ronda hasn't proved that she's a well-rounded athlete

Ronda hasn't been able to deliver on the mic yet

There is no doubting the fact that Rousey was impressive in her WrestleMania victory back in April, but the former Olympic star hasn't made as much of an impression on the mic. Rousey is finding it hard to adapt to the character WWE needs from her and this was showcased on Raw recently when she was given a role on commentary.

Rousey looked nervous and out of place on the mic and every promo that she has delivered since she signed her contract a few months ago has proved that she wouldn't be able to adapt to being a Champion in WWE. As the main woman on the roster, she would need to deliver a lot of promos and she just isn't able to step up to the level that is needed from her right now.

#2 There are more deserving women on the roster

When this match was originally made back in May, Rousey herself pointed out that there are many more women on the roster who are much more deserving. Many of these women will be competing in the Money in the Bank ladder match and putting their bodies on the line just for a chance to fight for that title, whilst Rousey has done nothing to prove that she deserves the opportunity.

Rousey stole the spotlight from the first ever Women's Royal Rumble back in January and now she's been given a free ride to the Women's Championship match as well, which could be why many of the women backstage are said to be unhappy. Whilst it could be argued that Rousey is a draw and this is why she has been given these opportunities, she should still be forced to work for a chance at the Championship like all the other women.

Rousey said herself that she wanted to be treated like any other wrestler, but this isn't the case.

#1 There's no one who can defeat her

Ronda has been billed as a legitimate threat in recent months
Ronda has been billed as a legitimate threat in recent months

One of the biggest issues that WWE has right now is that Ronda Rousey has been built up to be the biggest threat in the Women's Division without setting foot in the ring. Asuka was the only real contender for the former UFC Champion, but she has recently dropped down the pecking order, leaving Rousey at the top alone.

This is the same issue that WWE has with Brock Lesnar because the company pushes former UFC stars as legitimate fighters in the ring, it leaves them in a position where there are no challengers for them when they're Champion. If Rousey wins the title now then she will have to go on a lengthy undefeated run and right now, she hasn't done anything to warrant her deserving to have a lengthy run with a Championship in WWE.
