#1 Bray Wyatt has done incredible work reinventing himself

When Bray Wyatt was off of television for almost nine months between the late summer of 2018 to April of 2019, it caused a lot of questions. What was he doing? Was he hurt? Was something else going on with him? After a few months passed, we found out that he was working on a new character.

His old "Leader of the Wyatt Family" persona still had traction as a character in WWE but it had been booked unfavorably so as that it didn't have much credibility any more. In order to put that behind him, Wyatt literally created a new, daring persona. It was something completely new but also acknowledged the wrestler's past misgivings during his time in WWE.

This new character was so popular so quickly that it caused fans to turn against popular face Seth Rollins. Fans might have still cheered for Rollins, but it wasn't the usual heel-face dynamic that many of us have come to expect in angles.

Should The Fiend lose the title to Goldberg at Super Showdown, it will undo all of the fantastic work that Wyatt has done not only to rehabilitate himself but his career. His new persona delves into mental health a lot and that's a positive aspect that doesn't always get addressed in WWE. He might come across as someone who is tormenting others, but dealing with his own mental health is just as big a part of the entire Firefly Funhouse.

If he falls to the returning Legend Goldberg, a lot of his hard work over the last two years will almost be swept away. He deserves a big title match at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.
