Last night on Raw, Roman Reigns finally returned to WWE to update the fans about his battle with leukaemia. He announced that he is on remission and he will return to action very soon. This news itself brought a lot of happiness for all the fans who attended the show as well as fans watching at home.

But the biggest happiness that occurred last night was during the match between Dean Ambrose and Drew McIntyre, where The Scottish Psychopath defeated The Lunatic Fringe with the help of Elias, and then Bobby Lashley and Baron Corbin joined McIntyre and Elias to decimate Ambrose.

Reigns and Rollins then came out to help their Shield brother and take down all the four superstars. After this there was an intense face-off between Reigns and Rollins who were on the ramp and Ambrose who was in the ring, possibly teasing another Shield Reunion.

Here are five reasons The Shield Reunion is a right decision by WWE...

#5 Could Help to Re-Sign Dean Ambrose

Now, it isn't hidden anymore, we all know that Dean Ambrose will possibly leave WWE once his contract expires in April, mostly after WrestleMania 35. So another Shield Reunion could possibly change Ambrose's decision to depart the company.

Ambrose debuted with The Shield in 2012 and all of his success in this company has happened with The Shield. Whether it was having a one-year long United States Title run, becoming Raw Tag Team Champion or winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

All of these things have happened with his Shield Brothers, as both Reigns and Rollins have been part of his career's accomplishments. Whenever The Shield has disbanded, Ambrose has been affected the most. If there would be another Shield Reunion, it could change Ambrose's mind and he could end up re-signing with the company in April.

#4 A Perfect Send-Off?

Ambrose doesn't change his mind at all and his final decision is to leave WWE no matter what happens, then a Shield reunion will be a perfect send-off for the Lunatic Fringe. As his WWE career began with The Shield and will end with The Shield

In the past, there have been instances when superstars, such as Brock Lesnar or Goldberg, decided to return to the company. On the other hand, we also have superstars like CM Punk, who decided to never come back to the company again.

Keeping that in mind, WWE should completely utilize Ambrose's best moments in this company. Recently they switched his heel character to his former babyface lunatic fringe character as fans loved that character of Ambrose. One last Shield Reunion would be another great moment that fans would love to see and prove to be a perfect sendoff for Ambrose.

#3 Increase Ratings

We all know, WWE has signed two new TV deals which will begin from 2019. Raw will continue on USA Network as part of a five-year deal, while SmackDown will move to FOX Sports, which will also be part of a new five-year deal.

Both of these new deals will be affected if WWE is unable to generate ratings and bring in more viewers. If there will be an increase in ratings, it would build trust to the new WWE TV dealers the there is a lot of interest for their product.

With a newly formed promotion AEW (All Elite Wrestling) slowly becoming a competition for WWE, having approached top WWE stars Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton with fantastic deals which includes a lot of money as well as creative freedom, WWE certainly needs to step up its game.

A Shield Reunion could not only increase ratings but could also help WWE stay ahead of other promotions such as NJPW and the newly formed AEW.

#2 Create Buzz for WrestleMania Season

Its WrestleMania season as The Royal Rumble 2019 is finally in the books and so is the Elimination Chamber 2019. We are just one last step away from the "Road to WrestleMania" which is Fastlane 2019, which will take place next month.

WWE usually does something special to create more buzz for the annual event. In the previous years, WWE has created buzz by bringing in a former major star to the company to compete in a match at the big event. This year it might be Batista, who also returned last night on Raw and attacked Ric Flair backstage before his 70th Birthday Celebration building to a rumored match against Triple H.

Another buzz that can be added to this year's event is the involvement of The Shield. Since the moment Reigns announced that he will be returning to action very soon, fans believe that another reunion could happen at WrestleMania. This unpredictability is what WWE wants for WrestleMania as it creates a lot of buzz as we get closer to the event.

#1 Roman Reigns could turn on The Shield and can be added in the Universal Title Match at WrestleMania 35

As mentioned in the previous point, we still don't know what The Shield will be doing at WrestleMania. Whether there will be a final reunion or Reigns will compete as a singles star. If Reigns returns to reclaim the Universal Title he never lost, he could be possibly added in the scheduled match between Rollins and Lesnar.

Lesnar will defend his Universal Championship against the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble winner Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 35. Now that Reigns is cleared he could possibly challenge Lesnar for the title he vacated four months back.

This time Reigns could turn on the group and demand to get added in the Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35. Previously, Ambrose and Rollins have turned on the group but this time it will be Reigns who does it.

It wouldn't make sense since now Reigns is cheered by the fans and that's what WWE wanted to happen. So why would they just throw away this moment, but again this is WWE and such shocking things have happened before.
