#4. The Goldberg match drove him to sign a new contract

An absolute disaster

It seems as though the Goldberg match had a lot of impact in WWE. For one, The Undertaker returned unceremoniously quick after his Super ShowDown match - something that hardly happens (it only happened in 2015 and 2018).

For one, he performed infitnitely better at Extreme Rules and played his role perfectly while Roman Reigns did the main carrying. It became abundantly clear from his expression even after the Goldberg match that The Undertaker was furious with what just transpired. We can't blame him at all in that case, but adding to the last point, this could have been one of the major factors that contributed towards him eventually signing a new contract.

Perhaps it lit a fire within him to take his performances to new heights. However, the question is as to whether he'll be able to do so today.
