WWE has been a staple promotion for so many years that it has transitioned from simply being professional wrestling to a hybrid of sports and entertainment. It has been this way for a long time, and the company consistently presents its product in such a way that fans continue to be drawn to it, wanting to watch the stories week in and week out.

WWE's success will only end when they decide it will end because the company isn't just focussed on simply one thing.

Fans of WWE will more times than not remain with the company, despite not always liking the product and what is being, aired.

Their programming is easily accessible, whether on television or via streaming on a number of devices: tablets, computers, mobile devices, and other smart devices. Not to mention the abundance of content shared on social media platforms like YouTube and Facebook.

Watching on a major television station tends to be easier for fan and social media is free, so that has some influence on the promotion's continued popularity. There are other reasons as well. What are they, and why will WWE never lose its fanbase? Here are five reasons why WWE will never lose its fanbase.

#5 The brand

That "W" has continued to show how much the company has continued to achieve recognition

One of the most remarkable things that apply to WWE is that the name of the company is just something that cannot be easily ignored; it is a global brand. Much like any item that is popularized through television and advertising, like a major shoe company or a type of restaurant, WWE is a brand that day after day provides entertainment with the intention of making those watching it know that it is the best of the best and that no one else can compete with it.

Since purchasing the company from his father, Vince McMahon Jr. has taken what his father had and created a mesh between sports and entertainment. As shoe companies such as Reebok or Nike have done, or restaurants such as McDonald's and Burger King have achieved, WWE's brand has widespread awareness and recognition; their logo, form of entertainment and popularity are well known.

#4 Philanthropic work

If there is something that WWE wants to be known for, it is their widespread charity work, something that comes with being a massive company. It is honorable and noble, and it has been one area that has become synonymous with the company, whether it relates to John Cena being the most active person for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the company's role in schools helping to further reading and writing, their creation of Connor's Cure or their place alongside the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a cancer charity. WWE has never sat back idly and has been able to embrace helping others where they need it.

The company caters to families, and in doing so children feel empowered when they are able to meet these larger than life characters, who promote the message to be brave and not give up the fight. The company's philanthropic work will be key to its longevity.

#3 Crossing over media

When Vince McMahon began to build towards the company's first ever closed-circuit event, a little event known as Wrestlemania, he wanted to have a presence from others that were part of the entertainment industry as part of this extravaganza. While maybe not all wrestling fans are familiar with their names, the likes of Muhammed Ali and Liberace are legends in their respective fields. Not to mention, the inclusion of Mr. T, who was a television star at the time, in the main event, enabled WWE to cross-over into mainstream media, as major television and radio market devoted time to the buzz. This caused Hulk Hogan to become a pop culture figure outside his field, as he was a larger than life personality, one that clearly represented the hero. During that time he was on a number of daytime talk shows helping promote the event.

Starting with Wrestlemania, McMahon was doing something to make his company stand out. It was able to connect with major media, and in doing so helped promote and advertise their product. This is something most promotions today are still unable to achieve.

#2 International appeal

WWE has remained vigilant on things that other companies are trying to do today. For all that some may show disdain for WWE and question the quality of the product, WWE has managed to do things that others have tried to follow suit, and that is developing a global appeal for their company. Whether it is touring in Europe or other places outside the United States, WWE is firmly invested in promoting its product outside its home country.

Today, on every pay per view event, fans see commentators brought in to represent the vast array countries that broadcast the show, and those commentators freely show their love of all things WWE. So rather than simply having the other countries have to accept WWE as is, WWE has reached out to different countries and cultures and embraced them and their various traditions. This was no better reflected than when Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks had the first ever women's match in the United Arab Emirates; they were the first ever women to compete in a ring in that country.

#1 Continue to invest in the product

Since any company will have ebbs and flows, there are certain things to be done that will show how committed a company is to succeed. While it can lose money in the short-term, a sustainable and profitable company is able to remain so by being dedicated to improving. Despite recent cutbacks to help ensure they earn a profit, WWE continues to reinvest money in the company to ensure that it continues to succeed.

For example, despite pyrotechnics being cut from wrestler's ring entrances, the company continues to invest money in its production value. The company built a reputation on being the best because of how they appear on the screen and is committed to never go back or put something on the screen that is below their standards since they know what fans have come to expect. WWE will continue to succeed because it is committed to reinvesting in their product.
