Braun Strowman at one point was the second most pushed full-time superstar in the company. However, it was clear that whenever the time had come for him to be put in a big match against a top star, he would be the one doing the favours.

McMahon likely feels that Strowman is the perfect superstar to use to elevate other stars - particularly the likes of Roman Reigns. After all, Roman Reigns was the first to pin him clean right before he went on to face The Undertaker.

Even Brock Lesnar ran through Braun Strowman during his first reign as Universal Champion, with the objective ultimately being to get Roman Reigns over. It is true that Strowman has wins over Roman Reigns, but overall, it's crystal clear that he's the monster that superstars have to get through to become bigger stars.
