One of the most annoying aspects of modern day WWE television is the fact that most of the lines that the WWE Superstars say are fed to them. The writers in the back are writing promos for the wrestlers.

Now, imagine the time when Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock were on top. The Austin 3:16 promo was Steve Austin's own creation. The Rock, who was one of the best talkers in the business, came up with his own catchphrases and created electricity every time he had the mic in his hands.
Their characters were a hyperextension of their own personality and they had full control over it. While the same can't be said of every WWE Superstar, it's definitely a problem in the current setup. In the wrestling business, every wrestler should be able to cut a promo. Otherwise, they should find another line of work.

My love of professional wrestling has been a journey. When I look back at my life, I realize that it's always been there in the background. While there were years where I stopped following it, I don't think I ever stopped loving it.
I have always been writing, and I have honed my skillset over the years, writing for various newspapers, publications, and other entertainment websites. Wrestling is just a happy accident and coincided with my falling back in love with the genre, with the rise of AEW.
Wrestling is physical storytelling and stories; they make us fly! I recount those stories through analytical features and news that come out of it.
