WWE had a lot of great options to win the Men's Money in the Bank briefcase this year. Randy Orton cashing in on Kofi Kingston to take the WWE Championship would give him a lot of heat due to their history with each other.

Baron Corbin would have been great as Mr. Money in the Bank due to all of the heel heat that he has.

WWE could have shown commitment to treating Ricochet as a star by having him win. Ali winning would have been an excellent way for him to make up for injuries costing him his chance to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania.

Drew McIntyre, Andrade, and Sami Zayn are all fabulous heels who need a small push to become a central part of the main event scene.

The last four names mentioned above would have been the best choices, but WWE decided to have Brock Lesnar win instead.

Brock Lesnar stealing a much-deserved victory from Ali was unfortunate as he will likely go back to mid-card purgatory after a fantastic performance at Money in the Bank.

Sami Zayn is, unfortunately, treated as a jobber to the Superstars. Andrade and Drew McIntyre are both also likely to continue to have various roles in the mid-card.

The reports of WWE trying to make a new star out of the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match winner were wrong. Brock Lesnar did not deserve this victory, and he stopped a new star from being to jump to the main event scene.
