Ronda Rousey was a former UFC champion who excelled in armbars. Thus, when she came to WWE, she decided to use The Armbar as her finisher. From tapping Stephanie McMahon out at Wrestlemania 34 to tapping Tamina and Nia Jax successively, Rousey never pinned anyone to win a match.
During the RAW women's championship match between Sasha Banks and Ronda Rousey, everyone expected Banks to tap out at one point or another. There were numerous occasions where Banks would have tapped out, but the boss evaded using her strength and ring awareness. However, after getting connected by two Piper pits, Sasha Banks did not have enough energy to answer the referee's count of three - hence becoming the first superstar to be pinned by Ronda Rousey in a televised singles match.
Rousey had "pins" in her victory column only for a few times. However, when it comes to televised singles matches, this is the first time that Rousey pinned someone to win a match.
