The "Dead Man" will make his return to the WWE at the 25th anniversary of Raw which will emanate from the Barclays Center in New York City on January 22, 2018. The Undertaker's last televised appearance was at Wrestlemania 33 where he suffered a painful loss to Roman Reigns. This was speculated to be his final match after he left his gloves, coat and hat after the match, in the centre of the ring.

There is a lot of excitement as we approach the 25th anniversary of Raw. The WWE universe is looking forward to seeing "The Phenom" back into the WWE. Although he is not in his best shape, The Undertaker is still considered one of the most feared men inside the squared circle. His times as an active performer is behind him, however, the WWE can sometimes be unpredictable and it would not come as a surprise if we saw the Undertaker in full ring gear ready to compete.

Here are the five roles The Undertaker is most likely to play at the 25th anniversary of Raw.

#5 Confront Roman Reigns

The Undertaker retired from in-ring competition after his painful loss to Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania 33. There have been speculations on whether or not he will seek revenge and attack Reigns when he returns. Indeed, it will come as no surprise if The Undertaker costs Roman a match on that night and follow it up with a "chokeslam to hell". This interference from Taker would most likely happen in a high stakes match.

Costing Roman the Intercontinental Championship he recently won or a number one contenders match for the Universal championship would be good retribution for The Phenom. This should not necessarily lead to a re-match but rather give Reigns his comeuppance for retiring The Undertaker.

#4 Return of "The Brothers of Destruction"

The Undertaker and Kane feuded and teamed together on and off from 1997 through 2016. Together as the "The Brothers of Destruction", they won three tag-team titles and are among the most dominant tag-teams in history. They made their last appearance together at the 900th episode of SmackDown after the show went off the air on November 15, 2016.

Kane is currently embroiled in a feud with Braun Strowman which ignited at the WWE TLC pay-per-view when he betrayed Strowman by chokeslamming him through the stage before trapping him inside a garbage truck. This past week on Raw, Kane attacked Strowman with a steel chair during the latter's match against Jason Jordan.

This feud is not going to end anytime soon and with Undertaker returning at the 25th anniversary of Raw, a double chokeslam to Strowman is inevitable. The Undertaker could very well join forces with his "brother" Kane to destroy The "Monster Among Men" on the January 22nd, 2018 episode of Raw.

#3 2018 Hall of fame induction announcement

The Undertaker is the most respected WWE superstar of all time. He has an impressive 21 straight Wrestlemania victories and has been in the main event of Wrestlemania an impressive four times. "The Dead Man" is a four-time WWE champion and winner of the 2007 Royal Rumble match. He is also the longest-tenured in-ring performer in the history of the WWE. A year after making his debut, he defeated Hulk Hogan to win the WWE championship at Survivor Series in 1991.

All these accolades guarantee him a future hall of fame induction. This year seems fitting for him to be finally inducted and to join the list of all-time greats that have already been inducted. What better venue for the WWE to announce "The Phenom" as a 2018 Hall of Fame Inductee than at the 25th anniversary of Raw? The Undertaker would acknowledge this announcement by walking down the ramp to the ring and soaking into the emotions of the fans that will be present at the Barclays Center.

#2 Retirement speech

The Undertaker lost to Reigns after five spears in his fourth WrestleMania main event. After the match, he left his gloves, coat and hat in the centre of the ring before slowly making his exit. He walked over to his wife Michelle McCool to kiss her, then walked up the ramp and performed his signature arm-raised pose as smoke surrounded him before descending down into the ramp to the sound of his music. After he disappeared, the lights went out and his signature gong sounded off three times to end the show.

This was clearly done to indicate his retirement from in-ring competition. Unlike his predecessors, The Undertaker never showed up on Raw for a retirement ceremony. However, we might get just that at the 25th anniversary of Raw in January. The Undertaker could come out to the ring and give a speech, to thank the fans for supporting him during his long tenure as a professional wrestler. This would get a standing ovation and the ratings for that Raw episode would be an all-time high.

#1 One more match

Rumours of The Undertaker's retirement has been a rife year in, year out. He has returned every WrestleMania season for the past six years to compete in high-profile matches and most of his matches have been the main attractions. At WrestleMania 33, he gave us a reason to believe he is finally retiring after suffering a defeat to Roman Reigns. Most people, therefore, do not expect to see him perform in the ring again. That being said, at 52, he still has the energy to compete inside the squared circle.

He is set to make an appearance at the 25th anniversary of Raw in what will be a star-studded show. He could use this opportunity to issue a challenge to the biggest star of the PG era, John Cena. Cena and Taker have never faced one another at the biggest stage. Undertaker is on record to have requested a match with Cena at Wrestlemania. This could be a perfect final match for a man who has been dominant for over two decades.
