#4 Alex Riley

Alex Riley back in 2011

Alex Riley was originally part of the second series of NXT, having The Miz as his mentor. Becoming Miz's secretary was all part of the grand plan to build up the hate towards the good-looking, athletic Superstar. Riley's singles run did not pan out as one might have hoped and he was used sparingly over the coming years.

2011 was a particularly strong year for Alex, feuding alongside The Miz against John Cena, and this led to a scheduled spot in that year's Royal Rumble with Cena.

After being pushed over the top rope by Cena and Kofi Kingston, Alex was meant to hang onto the ropes like many of the spots we see every year, and come back in via the bottom rope, ready to continue the feud with Cena for several more minutes.

Riley did not have a good grip however and ended up slipping and falling to the floor. Cena would have to improvise later on when Alex wasn't there.
