#2 Royal Rumble Iron Man

The Royal Rumble Iron Man record has been set for 15 years, with Rey Mysterio lasting over an hour in the 2006 Royal Rumble, the match in which he went on to win from the number two slot.

In the 2006 Rumble, Mysterio clocked in at an impressive 1 hour, 2 minutes, and 12 seconds.

A handful of WWE Superstars have come close to beating Rey Mysterio's record since. A star that almost matched Mysterio's record in recent years was current NXT Champion Finn Balor.

He lasted for 57 minutes and 38 seconds in the 2018 Royal Rumble, where, in a similar vein to Rey Mysterio, he was one of the first entrants. Unlike Mysterio, however, Balor didn't win but was one of the last men standing.

The record that Rey Mysterio set back in 2006 was a while ago, so it may be time for a current WWE Superstar to match or even beat him.

The last Iron Match before Rey Mysterio also kept his record for a long time. In 1993, Bob Backlund lasted one hour, one minute and 10 seconds, and he held onto that accolade for 13 years.
