He returned to the ring at the Raw after WrestleMania and won the United States Championship a week later. After being traded to Smackdown, he would drop the title to Shinsuke Nakamura at Extreme Rules, and the returning Randy Orton would take him out two days later.
According to Cagesideseats, Randy Orton viciously assaulted Jeff Hardy so that the Charismatic Enigma could get some time off. The break was necessary for him because he is battling injuries off his own behind the scenes. However, they didn't break the news as to when he would be back.
If it is true, then it is bad news for the WWE Universe. However, they should understand that Jeff Hardy has been on the road since he was 19. Furthermore, his inability to execute the Swanton Bomb is a testament that all things are not well. We wish Hardy a speedy recovery and hope that he is better than before.
