#4 The Miz and Maryse go their separate ways
There was chatter earlier this year that the on-screen problems between The Miz and Maryse were going to lead to a storyline breakup between the real-life couple.
The buzz was that WWE wanted to split up The Miz and Maryse because their gimmick was "too similar" to that of Mike and Maria Kanellis. It looks like WWE has dropped that idea, however, and needless to say, that was a very smart move.
Mike and Maria Kanellis' "love-struck" gimmick has thus far failed to catch on with the fans on SmackDown while The Miz and Maryse are arguably the most hated heels in the company. Splitting up the latter two would prove to be a monumental mistake, given how over they've gotten and how irreplaceable they are as WWE's best on-screen couple.
Although The Miz would be fine on his own, the presence of Maryse enhances his character so much that the only way their on-screen relationship should end is if one of them leaves WWE for good.
