#3 Rekindled rivalry with Triple H

The Rock and Triple H have been rivals for over 20 years.
The Rock and Triple H have been rivals for over 20 years.

The rivalry between The Rock and Triple H goes all the way back from 1998 when The Rock was part of The Nation of Domination whereas Triple H was a member of D-Generation X as the two stables were involved in a war. We have seen Hunter and Rock compete multiple times in the ring, as both men have exchanged victories against each other.

At WrestleMania 31, we saw Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have a confrontation with The Rock as we witnessed Stephanie slap The Rock in the face. This led to The Rock bringing Ronda Rousey out to the WWE ring for the first ever time, as the babyfaces then cleared the house.

The opportunity to have a mixed tag team match between the duo is clearly gone, due to Rousey teaming up with Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34 to take on Hunter and Stephanie, but on October 10th 2014 episode of SmackDown, we saw Triple H and The Rock exchange words in a backstage segment as the two men got riled up as they exchanged stares.

There is no denying that the WWE really wants to do this match, and if The Rock ever did make his return to the WWE, you couldn't rule out the opportunity for him to go one-on-one with Hunter for the last time out at all. The seeds have been planted many times, and there is still clearly some unfinished business.

In terms of physique and ring readiness, both The Rock and Triple H check all the boxes. Despite making sporadic appearances, the Rock looks in fine shape and Triple H is always ready to bring his 'A Game' to the table if a feud comes calling.

The feud is certainly worth headlining any Wrestlemania and the fans will be more than thrilled to see the veterans square off once again.
