The season of What If's has begun

WWE has kicked off 2018 in style with a monumental display of wrestling and entertainment at the Royal Rumble. The fans are now eagerly awaiting 'the Grandest Stage of them All' - WrestleMania, to be held this year at the Super Dome.

The only match confirmed as of now is 'the King of Strong Style' Shinsuke Nakamura challenging 'The Phenomenal One' AJ Styles, who is likely to be the WWE Champion at WrestleMania.

WrestleMania 34 will be a stacked card and could be the most entertaining show of all time in WWE history if booked wisely and creatively. The fans will head to New Orleans expecting an unpredictable night and might receive what they're promised.

Here are 5 shockers that WWE could pull off at WrestleMania 34:

#5 The Lunatic Fringe returns and makes a statement

A heel turn could be in the works

If there is a momentous time for this man to turn on his brothers, it is now. 'The Lunatic Fringe' Dean Ambrose is the most underrated performer in the Shield and, while he may be a Grand Slam Champion, it cannot be denied that he is portrayed as a weakling among the three.

Ambrose is currently recovering from the tricep injury that forced him out of action and led WWE to scrap the original idea of having him face off against 'the Architect', Seth Rollins at WrestleMania. He is expected to return after WrestleMania but, considering the fact that plans within the WWE continue to change on a daily basis, it seems like a possibility that they just might push the envelope with Dean and drop a bombshell at WrestleMania.

Imagine the reaction of the crowd if Ambrose turns on Seth Rollins or Roman Reigns; it would be historic for someone who has been the most hardworking performer in the WWE locker room. It would definitely be a shocking moment to see Dean come out to a huge pop and drop Seth with his finisher followed by a cryptic heel promo, making a huge statement in the process.

It's about damn time that the Lunatic gets what he deserves.

#4 Braun Strowman wins the Intercontinental Championship

This is rumored to happen

'The Monster Among Men' is the hottest commodity on Monday Night Raw and has become a crowd favorite with his unending viciousness. There's no denying that Braun Strowman has improved as a wrestler and must be booked in a marquee match at WrestleMania 34.

There have been rumors swirling around that 'the A-Lister' The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Championship at 'the Show of Shows' against the Monster Among Men.

Well, the match does sound interesting on paper and with efficient booking, could steal the spotlight from other feuds on Monday Night Raw. That said, the inclusion of Samoa Joe could make this more marquee than ever.

Imagine Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman going to war at 'the Grandest Stage of them All'; it would be a wise decision to let Strowman decimate 'the A-Lister' and have a gigantic street fight with Samoa Joe. The latter would not only be a show-stopper but would also give the Intercontinental Championship the respect it deserves.

'The Monster Among Men' winning the title at WrestleMania would definitely be a shocker.

#3 Brock Lesnar passes the torch to Roman Reigns

The Big Dog will have his eyes on the prize

It should not come as a shock to anyone that Roman Reigns is the current favorite to walk out of the Super Dome as the new Universal Champion. And despite the fact that 'the Big Dog' is likely to win the match itself, he could also retire 'the Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar.

Vince McMahon is very bullish about Roman and definitely considers him the top guy to carry the company forward. If statistics are anything to go by, it is inevitable that the Big Dog will beat the Beast at WrestleMania 34 this year.

Brock Lesnar's contract is about to end and it could be the right time for WWE to pull the trigger by having him lose the Universal Championship. There could be a possibility that WWE pulls off a shocker by letting Roman tame the Beast and retire him.

While both the superstars do respect each other's abilities and are the only two to beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania, it would good for the WWE to answer the question: who is more dominant between the two?

Whether we like it or not, the Big Dog could retire the Beast at WrestleMania and add another monumental achievement to his Samoan trophy case.

#2 The Balor Club hijacks the WWE Championship match

The Balor club might crash the party for good

Now, this is a possibility that the WWE Universe would be genuinely excited about. WWE could tap into the characters of these talented performers and pull off a spine-chilling moment by having the Balor Club interrupt the highly anticipated WWE Championship match between A.J. Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura. If the company tries to push the envelope with the Balor Club, then this could steal the show and generate immense curiosity among the fans.

Imagine a possibility where 'The Demon' and his brothers try to hijack the WWE Championship match in their bid to avenge the lack of respect shown to the faction by the authorities. This could work for the betterment of the rest of 2018, which could see A.J. Styles reuniting with Finn and his brothers to form the 'Bullet Club' of WWE.

The crowd will be supremely excited if this happens, and it would definitely elevate Finn Balor to superstardom within the company.

#1 The Undertaker vows to have another match at WrestleMania 34

The Deadman will rise

The Deadman has been the most appreciated performer in the history of this business and has revolutionized the concept of sports entertainment with his supernatural character. There is no denying that The Undertaker's days as a professional wrestler are numbered. That being said, he is currently rumored to have a gigantic showdown at this year's WrestleMania against the 16-time World Champion John Cena.

There is still no confirmation regarding the Undertaker's future prospects despite the critics expecting this to be his final match.

The Deadman does deserve a monumental send-off, and one more match at WrestleMania would definitely be ideal. The Undertaker looked in great physical shape at the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw which only indicates that he just might stay a bit longer and keep extending his loyalty to the business.

A statement regarding The Deadman's future, signalling that he's not done yet, could turn the crowd on fire and bring down the roof.
