5 Shocking Heel/Face Turns That Could Happen on Raw and SmackDown Live This Week

Are we ready?
Are we ready?

In my humble opinion, this is genuinely one of the most interesting times to be a professional wrestling fan. The introduction of All Elite Wrestling has ignited a sense of competition in WWE, with Vince McMahon's billion dollar company pushing new superstars and promoting new stories on a weekly basis.

While legions of WWE fans have vehemently criticized the creative team for being too predictable in most of 2018, it definitely seems that Vince McMahon genuinely wants to bring an element of rejuvenation on the main roster.

Since a lot of segments and matches have been announced for this week's Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live, the fans can expect two thrilling episodes, with Elimination Chamber being the main focus.

Whether it is Dean Ambrose's current contractual situation or Kurt Angle's future, all these stories will see the light of the day this week, with fans wondering what would Vince McMahon be secretly planning for this week.

Considering that the product is being seriously altered, there are many surprising character transformations that could happen this week to advance the proceedings en route to WrestleMania 35.

So, without further ado, let's dive deep and predict the 5 shocking heel/face turns that could happen on Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live this week.

#5 Dean Ambrose - Face

Has Ambrose delivered as a heel?
Has Ambrose delivered as a heel?

In what was one of the most creatively rejuvenating heel turns in recent memory, Dean Ambrose's turn on Seth Rollins garnered him absolute nuclear heat.

Legions of WWE fans were divided on Dean's lunacy and while most of them thought the heel turn would propel the former WWE Champion to unprecedented heights on the main roster, Ambrose failed to bring any attention to his hokey antics.

Since he's confirmed to leave Vince McMahon's billion dollar company (which could also be a work), the Lunatic Fringe has displayed signs of a huge babyface turn at his recent live event appearance in Saskatoon.

If the company are indeed serious about altering Dean's creative direction for good, we could legitimately see the company drop a bombshell and turn him babyface tonight on Monday Night Raw.

#4 Ronda Rousey - Heel

A legitimate fighter
A legitimate fighter

For all the wrestling fans who have followed Ronda Rousey's illustrious career in UFC before storming the world of professional wrestling, there's an element of attitude in the Rowdy One that is every bit of an embodiment of the word "heel."

The Raw Women's Champion displayed her ruthlessness on Raw when she took the mic and ranted about Becky Lynch's journey to the main event scene in WWE.

With Stephanie McMahon joining the proceedings tonight, there's a legitimate possibility that she could add more fuel to the fire, which could force the Rowdy One to finally display her dark side.

There's no denying that a heel turn for Rousey would make this bout more marketable considering that the fans have seemingly already turned their backs on her.

#3 Shinsuke Nakamura - Face

Will the Artist show some alterations?
Will the Artist show some alterations?

It's a shame that Shinsuke Nakamura has not been able to propel his stature on the main roster and has constantly struggled to find his footing on the blue brand.

His shocking loss to R-Truth opened the door for many questions, with legions of fans believing that the King of Strong Style may very well be on his way out of the WWE.

Since he is currently scheduled to team up with Rusev this week to tussle out with the Good Brothers, there's a significant possibility that the former NXT Champion reignites his momentum and gets a clean win.

Nakamura definitely needs a serious alteration in order to be taken seriously, and with a possible tag-team alliance with Rusev doing the rounds, this could happen this week.

#2 Kurt Angle - Heel

The Olympic Gold Medalist needs this
The Olympic Gold Medalist needs this

In my humble opinion, Kurt Angle is one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time. The former WWE Champion deserves a lot of credit for making this far as a competitor on Monday Night Raw.

While his continuous losses have been significant in diminishing his credibility, he promises to bring a serious alteration in his career as he addresses his future tonight.

There's no way Vince McMahon would let Angle retire without featuring him in a solid bout at WrestleMania 35. A more probable aspect could find the Olympic Gold Medalist turn heel tonight and join forces with an unstoppable alliance in Baron Corbin and Drew Mcintyre.

This could prove to be very clinical in featuring Braun Strowman as a monstrous babyface on the main roster, with Kurt Angle playing a smart antagonist.

#1 The Usos - Heel

This has to happen
This has to happen

The Usos are now scheduled to lock horns with the newly crowned SmackDown Live Tag-Team Champions, Shane McMahon and The Miz.

Since the company are prominently featuring The A-Lister as a babyface now, there's a significant possibility that the opposition duo turn heel on them to bring more eyes on the product.

There's no denying that the Usos can be very very engaging as a heel tag-team and with Shane's inclusion bringing some spotlight to the tag-team division, the Usos could very well take this opportunity to target the popular duo this week.
