Shane McMahon's 2016 return shocked everyone.
Shane McMahon is undeniably the most athletic member of McMahon family. Due to this, he frequently competes in the ring and indulges in feuds with some of the company's top Superstars. He was a key part of the Invasion angle in 2001, but despite being an influence both on and off-screen, he left WWE in 2009 to pursue other ventures.

He interrupted Stephanie McMahon before she could receive the "Legacy of Excellence" Award by Vince McMahon. Shane expressed his demand to take charge of Raw, and was consequently booked in a Hell in a Cell match with the Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 in order to do so.

To this day, McMahon remains an on-screen character. However, the fan support he had back in 2016 has diminished with time due to him "taking up too much TV time". Regardless, his return to WWE after nearly a 7-year absence was an exciting moment to witness.

Ali Siddiqui is a listicle and feature writer for Sportskeeda Wrestling since 2018. After completing his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, he decided to write for Sportskeeda Wrestling after learning about it through a friend. He briefly worked for The Sportster as well.
Ali's love for pro wrestling dates back to when Randy Orton won a Battle Royal to become the #1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2004. His current favorite wrestler is Cody Rhodes because he's the ultimate throwback babyface. He believes Rhodes has the Surfer Sting's passion, Bret Hart's prop-gifting schtick, a catchy theme like Hogan's, and a kid-friendly demeanor akin to John Cena's.
When he is not doing research for his articles on Google or catching up with the latest in pro wrestling, Ali can be found honing his Data Science and AI skills as he strives to get back into tech in the near future.
