According to Vince Russo, a former writer for WWE, back issues have been plaguing The Undertaker since the Attitude Era. According to Russo, The Undertaker would go out and have the match of the night and come back and be laid out in immense, terrible pain.
He would be at the mercy of chiropractors and physiotherapists who would make sure that his back did recover. However, The Undertaker ensured that he never showed his discomfort outside the ring to his millions of fans. To them, he was, forever, a wrestling megastar.
