Roman Reigns had been in the main event of WrestleMania every year since WrestleMania 31. He took on Brock Lesnar that year, Triple H in the year that followed, The Undertaker the following year and finally, Brock Lesnar again at WrestleMania 34. One believed that it was a given that he would be the main event of WrestleMania year after year.
And then Becky Lynch caught fire and just became the most popular WWE Superstar in the company. Charlotte Flair stepped up to the plate as well and it was impossible to deny that Ronda Rousey was bringing a lot more mainstream attention to the company. Which meant that for the first time in history, the women would be in the main event of a WrestleMania.
This is a clear indication that Reigns' stock has fallen. He battled Drew McIntyre slightly lower down the card.
