Roman Reigns recaptured the Universal Title pretty quickly.

WWE does everything for a reason and that includes putting the WWE Universal Championship on Roman Reigns just one week after The Fiend won it back at SummerSlam. Then again, some are probably just going to blame it on WWE being out of touch, but that couldn't be further from the truth if you look at it from a different perspective.

Think about it like this. WWE knew that The Fiend is the most popular thing in the company right now and that fans cared very deeply about his character. That's why WWE utilised that by having Reigns commit the unthinkable act of dethroning him and taking the Universal title for himself.

In the end, this was a strategic move and could have been in the company's plans for a long time now. Furthermore, this is seems like a response to Lesnar not being available at the moment, which is why WWE put the title on Reigns to make him the biggest heel in the company.
