We may have seen Jeff do this on several separate occasions, but that's because it's a proven success. Jeff Hardy has been through a lot in his life, and he'll be the first person to tell you that. He's made his fair share of mistakes and while that'd be enough to get him blacklisted with some other companies, WWE recognises the star power that he possesses.

Following his fantasy booking loss to Shinsuke Nakamura, Jeff needs to cut a promo whereby he tells the crowd that he wants to go on one final run with the WWE Championship. It'll set up the story perfectly, and from there, WWE can start to implant the idea in the mind of the WWE Universe that Jeff will challenge for the title one day soon.
