The Greatest Royal Rumble is shaping out to be a grand extravaganza with almost every championship being contested for at the event.

With a well put together WrestleMania with many unexpected and shocking results, it is safe to say that the WWE know how to put on a show.

The RAW and SmackDown Live after WrestleMania didn't fail to disappoint the audience either with all of us getting a peek at whose faces to expect in the fifty man Royal Rumble.

Superstars like Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe and Bobby Lashley already made their returns on the night after WrestleMania, who is to say that there won't be more familiar faces taking part in the event at Saudi Arabia.

With only fifteen spots currently filled for the Rumble match, WWE can pull off some shocking and awaited returns during the match.

With that being said, Let us take a look at five possible Superstars who could be making their much-awaited return to a WWE ring at this event.

#5 Jason Jordan

Maybe forgotten?
Maybe forgotten?

Jason Jordan didn't really have the best time on RAW after he was named the illegitimate child of the RAW GM, Kurt Angle.

What was expected to be a monstrous push, never really took off. This may be due to a number of reasons.

Jordan's run on RAW was short lived as he attained a neck injury and was sidelined after failing to recapture the RAW Tag Team TItles with Seth Rollins.

Even though the crowd may not really miss him, his in-ring skills were second to none and his presence would certainly shake things up.

There may be no better time than this event for Jordan to return. If he goes on to win it, maybe WWE can drop the whole illegitimate child storyline and put a new swerve on him.

#4 Big Show

Big Show looks better than ever
Big Show looks better than ever

This is going to be the biggest Royal Rumble in the history of the WWE and it cannot be complete without the biggest Superstar of the business.

The Big Show has had an incredible run with the company and is regarded as one of the greatest in the industry.

In his last match, he was defeated by Braun Strowman in a steel cage match after which, 'The Monster Among Men' threw 'The World's Largest Athlete' through the cage onto the floor.

Big Show was aided to the back after this match and was never seen on WWE TV again.

This was said to be done to give Big Show some time off wrestling so that he could undergo a hip replacement surgery.

Show's contract was set to expire in February but he has signed a new one with WWE.

His contract signing and the image shown above provides us with enough proof to speculate a huge return for this huge Superstar and what better place and time for this to happen than at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

#3 Big Cass

The 7 ft tall Superstar had what can be called a decent start to his main roster career in WWE.

He was paired with Enzo Amore and the duo went after the tag team gold on many occasions until Cass turned on Amore and attacked him from behind backstage on RAW.

His singles career didn't really kick off as the only opponents he faced were Big Show and Amore in singles competition.

On the episode of RAW after SummerSlam, Cass faced off against his old tag team partner in a street fight which was stopped by the referee due to Cass injuring his ACL and requiring surgery.

This injury could be a blessing in disguise for Cass because his run as a heel was not doing anything great for him and the WWE can now repackage him and utilise him in a more meaningful manner.

Cass is currently rehabbing at the Performance Center and could be a surprise entrant for this event.

#2 Drew McIntyre

Maybe a main roster call up?
Maybe a main roster call-up?

If one looks at Drew McIntyre's resume right now, one would realize what a huge mistake WWE made with this talent the first time around.

The Three Man Band member left WWE to wrestle over the world and has proved that he is a force to be reckoned with.

WWE would not want to lose out on him this time and would make sure that he is taken seriously.

The big Scot was undefeated until NXT TakeOver: WarGames where he defended his NXT Championship against Andrade 'Cien' Almas.

McIntyre walked into the event as the NXT Champion but walked out with his first loss and a torn bicep.

The injury sidelined Mcintyre, hindering his main roster call-up. Nevertheless, whenever McIntyre is set to return, expect him to be a part of RAW or SmackDown Live.

He is even a strong contender for the Greatest Royal Rumble match and what better way to welcome him back with a grand win.

#1 Rey Mysterio

The most awaited return
The most awaited return

Ever since Mysterio made his Royal Rumble appearance, rumours have been afloat of him signing with the company.

During the Rumble match, he looked in the best shape he has ever been in and he didn't miss a step.

Mysterio arguably was the biggest surprise of that Royal Rumble and he did entertain the crowd to the maximum.

Mysterio was last seen in a WWE ring on the RAW after WrestleMania XXX. He wrestled against a returning Bad News Barrett and took some time off to heal a wrist injury.

He hasn't been seen on WWE TV until the Royal Rumble 2018.

With rumours of him being backstage at many WWE events, could the WWE convince 'The Master of The 619' to sign another contract with them?

If this were to happen, the pop that Mysterio would receive at the Greatest Royal Rumble would be nothing short of the one he received at the Rumble match.
