#4 “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

When the 2019 draft began, it would not have been a surprise to see “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt drafted as the #1 pick on either RAW or SmackDown.

As it turned out, Wyatt was chosen by SmackDown as the #4 pick in the first night of the draft, with Becky Lynch, Roman Reigns and The O.C. (AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows) being picked ahead of him.

Given that Wyatt’s biggest rival right now, Seth Rollins, was the first pick on RAW on the second night of the draft, it is surprising that WWE is planning to continue the rivalry when both men are not even on the same show.

The whole point of the draft was to definitively separate the rosters after several months of the chaotic ‘Wild Card Rule’, yet we are now in a situation where there will be at least two weeks of television with SmackDown’s Wyatt feuding with RAW’s Rollins ahead of their Universal Championship match at Crown Jewel on October 31.

If this brand split is going to be taken seriously, surely the #1 contender for RAW’s top male title has to be a RAW Superstar?

Maybe, just maybe, WWE has the same logic and will switch Wyatt over to the red brand in this “blockbuster” trade.
