Drake Maverick began 2018 as the General Manager of 205 Live and ended the year by combining that role with the position of being AOP’s manager.

Moving into 2019, the Brit was left without much direction as a character after AOP’s Akam underwent knee surgery, meaning the former RAW Tag Team Champions did not appear on television for several months.

To compensate for that, Maverick used his creativity to personally create posters to track down 24/7 Champion R-Truth. It has since been revealed by Triple H that this was not part of the storyline but WWE’s decision-makers liked Maverick’s ideas, which is why he has been so integral in 24/7 Championship storylines since the title was introduced.

Whether he has been a General Manager, a manager, a wrestler or a backstage personality, Maverick has shown that he can take whatever storyline is thrown at him and he can make it work.

Technically, he is not currently a member of the RAW or SmackDown rosters, but the 205 Live GM is bound to feature in the upcoming draft if his number of appearances on television in recent months are anything to go by.

If he is chosen as the last pick, there is no doubt that Maverick would make the most of the opportunity!
