Seeing The Destroyer go one on one with The Game would definitely be a dream match for some. We have never seen Joe or Triple H set foot in the ring against each other, as we have only witnessed Joe and Hunter team up as Team Raw during the Survivor Series 2017 Men's 5 on 5 Traditional Tag Team Elimination Match against Team Smackdown.

The Samoan Submission Machine has yet to win a WWE title on the main roster, as he has only held the NXT Championship gold twice.

The Destroyer has been involved in multiple rivalries, but always seems to be the one that takes the fall in the pay-off. At the age of 38, Joe may never be the face of the company- but he is still talented and he can go in the ring.

Joe is also another superstar that Hunter brought into NXT, as he originally appeared on a part-time basis before his contract was changed to full-time due to Joe's impressive merchandise sales.

But despite Joe being one of Hunter's guys, he hasn't done anything special on either Raw or Smackdown apart from losing.

The reasoning for this potential rivalry could be the fact that Hunter promised Joe everything and told him what he wanted to hear so that he could sign with the WWE, but his words didn't amount to anything as Joe hasn't succeeded. Seeing two experienced veterans in the wrestling ring face each other would be nothing short of excellent.
