Will Rusev try to win Maria over?

Rusev made a surprise return to RAW this week in one of the most questionable storylines we’ve seen all year. At a time when WWE is humiliating Mike Kanellis while giving Maria a lot of time on the mic, they are also involving more superstars to the mix to prepare a confusing concoction.

While Maria’s baby storyline should have ended with her 24/7 Championship reign, WWE decided to bring it back this week in a segment where Maria first disclosed Ricochet to be her child’s father. She then changed her statement altogether and claimed that her baby's real father was actually Rusev.

Not only did this raise many questions, but it also allowed Rusev to return to in-ring competition. If WWE is going to continue the storyline involving Rusev and Maria, then we might see Rusev try to woo Maria over on SmackDown LIVE by interrupting Corbin. Rusev could claim that he’s not just the king of Maria’s heart, but also the true King of the Ring.
