2017 is and will forever be known as the year of the Modern Day Maharaja. At the 2017 WWE Backlash pay-per-view, Jinder Mahal went into the main event as a huge underdog against 9-time WWE Champion Randy Orton. But with a little assistance from The Singh Brothers, it was Mahal who stood victorious at the end of the contest, winning his very first WWE Championship.

Jinder Mahal is a Superstar with a very unique story, a story where someone who had spent most of his career in the lower-mid card did the unthinkable and became the Champion of the biggest wrestling company in the world.
After meeting Jinder in person, I could easily see what might make him such a popular performer amongst his constituents. Jinder has evolved into a very impressive Superstar. He looks and performs better now than ever before and yes, in the right situation, Jinder Mahal could very well get the win over Brock Lesnar. This could happen especially if Lesnar went into the match taking Mahal lightly.

Jonathan believes integrity is vital in journalism and ensures his work is high on accuracy. He conducts in-depth research and verifies information from various sources before curating a feature.
Jonathan has engaged in many meaningful conversations with prominent pro wrestling personalities like Drew McIntyre and DDP. He grew up in Memphis, admiring Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan during WWE’s Golden Era in the ‘80s. He has attended many pro wrestling events and credits The Hulkster for making his childhood memorable.
Jonathan, a big fan of Bray Wyatt, would like to see the latter's brother, Bo Dallas, continue his legacy as Uncle Howdy. If he were to work on the storyline, Jonathan would book the return of Erick Rowan as Howdy’s muscle. He thinks it would be a great way to honor the former Universal Champion.
When not writing pro wrestling features, Jonathan likes to collect sports memorabilia and has amassed a large collection of event-used and autographed relics over the years.
