#3 Cody Rhodes - 2013

The Definition of a Missed Oppportunity
The Definition of a Missed Opportunity

Even before the days of Stardust, Cody Rhodes was a wrestler many considered to be a severely underutilized talent in WWE.

The closest Rhodes came to a legitimate world championship opportunity was in his performance in the 2013 SmackDown Money in the Bank match.

In a match mostly filled with non-world champions and heels, Rhodes won fans over with his incredible performance and was fingertips away from winning the briefcase before Damien Sandow knocked him off the ladder.

With the WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship being unified later on that year, the company should've considered running with Rhodes as a world champion rather than relying on John Cena for another match with Randy Orton.

Orton and Rhodes showed fans that they had chemistry a few weeks after that year's SummerSlam and seeing them do a little bit more with Rhodes would've been fun to watch.

It might have cost us some of his tag team matches with Goldust, but they could've always gone back to the team in 2014.
