MVP and Hardy struggled to get along.

When Montel Vontavious Porter joined the WWE in 2006, the high-paid Superstar was quick to impress.

Appearing in major feuds against the likes of Kane and the Undertaker, MVP won his first United States Championship at Judgement Day 2007.

The only problem for the self-proclaimed Baller, was that Matt Hardy was hot on his tail, itching to take the Star-Spangled strap away from him.

After telling SmackDown GM Teddy Long he could win the tag titles with anyone, coincidence put Hardy and Porter together, with the pair being impressive, though uncohesive team.

Winning the titles in late August, the pair would hold onto them until November, when they lost to John Morrison and The Miz, with MVP attacking Hardy after their rematch.

Hardy would eventually return however, and took the US Title from his former partner at Backlash 2008.
