WWE Superstars are known to be workhorses, working over 300 days in a calendar year. Professional Wrestling is a hectic industry for everyone involved, but providing complete entertainment for the fans is the only thing these amazing guys think of.

With the brand split happening in 2016, the number of live shows, as well as the PPVs, produced increased exponentially this year. WWE is planning to conduct house shows for the 205 Live roster as well, so expect the number to increase next year as well.

We look at five superstars who had to put in the most amount of work this year in WWE.

#5 The Bar - 162 Matches

They don't set the BAR, they are the BAR

WWE's tag team division scaled new heights in 2017, with the performances of the Bar, Usos, New Day, Hardy Boyz, etc, getting rave reviews. Cesaro and Sheamus became a tag team last year, a decision which seemed weird at first, but has led to some exceptional matches.

Cesaro and Sheamus are true workhorses in every sense of the word and have been rewarded for their performances by winning the tag team championships thrice this year.

Their prolonged rivalry with SHIELD may be a lackluster point this year but it doesn't take away their credibility and top-notch performances.

#4 Baron Corbin - 163 matches

Baron Corbin loves beating up people a lot
Baron Corbin has given decent performances this year

A surprising name in the list, The Lone Wolf has shown glimpses of his fine talent this year. His personality has been branded dull and boring by many fans, but his attitude and ability to play a corny heel are pinpoint.

Corbin made his debut at Wrestlemania 32 and has come a long way since then. He has featured in feuds with the likes of Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, John Cena and Shinsuke Nakamura, giving decent performances most of the time.

Corbin's failed Money In The Bank cash-in was an ultimate low for the former Andre the Giant Battle Royal winner, but things will only go upwards for him.

#3 Dean Ambrose - 164 matches

No one can stop the Lunatic Fringe

A constant fixture in such year-end lists, the Lunatic Fringe is one of the most devoted superstars in WWE today. Ever since his debut in 2012, Dean Ambrose has not missed any WWE action due to injuries. However, last week this streak finally came to an end and Ambrose is most likely going to miss the next Wrestlemania.

Dean Ambrose has seen his SHIELD brothers go in and main-event Wrestlemania, while he has always been stuck in the mid-card or low profile preshow matches. Ambrose is a dedicated superstar, who apparently wrestled with an injury he suffered during TLC, for months.

Whenever Ambrose comes back, expect him to wrestle once again, week-in and week out.

#2 Jinder Mahal - 169 matches

You may not like this person, but it is impossible to deny that Jinder Mahal has had one hell of a career resurgence in 2017. He went from being a low-card jobber to a WWE Champion within a span of months and remained on top for over six months.

Jinder Mahal faced the likes of AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena during his title run and capped it all off with a match against the King of Kings in his "home" country, India.

Mahal may not be the finest wrestlers in WWE today, but he is another dedicated performer who works extremely hard for everything he strives to achieve in WWE.

#1 AJ Styles - 172 matches

The One Who Gets The Job Done, A 172 times!
The One Who Gets The Job Done

Is this even a surprise? What can we even say about this man which hasn't already been said? The Phenomenal One started off the year as the WWE Champion and is rightfully ending the year the same way he started.

AJ Styles debuted in 2016 and has not been injured a single time during this run, in spite of all the deadly bumps he takes during his matches. AJ Styles wrestled in Chile, took a flight to wrestle against Finn Balor at TLC, fought next night at RAW and showed up the very next day at Smackdown as well.

AJ Styles is the best in the world today and we only hope he continues to produce such phenomenal performances every year!
