It is easy to forget how good The Miz is when he's not in the thick of things. While his first babyface run was a disaster, I wonder if he could potentially survive as a babyface this time around.
In my opinion, one way to establish him as a top babyface would be to make him the US Champion. We know that Rey Mysterio is injured and if The Miz steps into the title picture, a Miz vs. Joe rivalry may actually be a lot of fun to see.
The Miz is one of the few people in the roster who can go toe-to-toe against Samoa Joe on the microphone and win the face-off. All that needs to actually happen is for an impromptu match to be set up between the two men, that Miz wins.
He could elevate the US Championship just like he did the Intercontinental Championship.
