The go-home show for Backlash should be packed. We already know we're getting an episode of Miz TV as well as a 6-woman tag-team match. We will also see the confrontation between Shinsuke Nakamura and possibly, a big debut.
Let's take a look at 5 surprises WWE can pull off.
5: SAniTy run through the SmackDown roster
SAniTy are set to debut on SmackDown and it could be as soon as tonight. Young, Dain and Wolfe will look to make a big impact and I can see them running through the SmackDown roster.
SAniTy could debut as soon as tonight and attack Superstars backstage in a similar way to the Riott Squad when they made their debut in 2017. After all, SAniTy are coming to create chaos, what better way to start the process than a sneak attack?
4: Shinsuke Nakamura low blows AJ Styles after his apology
Shinsuke Nakamura has demanded an apology for AJ Styles for what happened at the Greatest Royal Rumble. After weeks of unhinged attacks from Nakamura, Styles snapped and tore into Nakamura, unloading on him with a steel chair after their match ended in a no contest.
AJ, being the stand-up gentleman that he is, will probably apologize tonight and I see Nakamura hitting him with another low blow. It's high time AJ wore a cup till Shinsuke gets over this.
3: Miz gets a US title shot days before Backlash
The Miz's guest on Miz TV this week will be US Champion Jeff Hardy. We know the Miz is one of the most antagonising Superstars in WWE which could rub Hardy the wrong way.
Could that lead to a match between the two? Could The Miz get a US title shot less than a week before his Intercontinental title match against Seth Rollins?
2: Big Cass attacks Daniel Bryan backstage
Big Cass attacked Daniel Bryan on the Superstar Shake-Up episode before booting him out of the Greatest Royal Rumble match last Friday. Cass continued screaming at Bryan after eliminating him, calling him garbage. It's clear that Big Cass has some deep resentment for Daniel Bryan.
Bryan will face Cass at WWE Backlash and Cass will probably continue to attack Daniel Bryan this week and we could see another backstage attack.
1: WWE hold back Andrade 'Cien' Almas' debut
Andrade 'Cien' Almas has only done pre-recorded promos since his move to SmackDown Live and that won't change this week. With Backlash next Sunday, WWE will look to hold back Almas' debut till after the PPV to decide which spot on the card to introduce him to SmackDown.
