Not a lot of people were happy that The New Day retained the Championships because there are not enough tag team units in the SmackDown roster that can take them on in the months that follow. Maybe Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura could be the next team to step up to the plate.
Or maybe, it could be the Forgotten Sons who need all the help they can get on SmackDown from an established team like The New Day so that they don't follow the same path that SAnitY did upon their arrival to the Blue brand. I would love to see them lying in wait, waiting for the SmackDown Tag Team Champions to return after an in-ring segment.
What if footage of a different nature is leaked by the SmackDown hacker this week, this time of the Forgotten Sons, lying in wait to ambush the Champions? If this were to happen, The New Day could arm themselves with chairs and weaponry and come out to fight them off.
