The bizarre trends in Monday Night RAWs continued this week, with a host of returns and major announcements which lit up the red brand this week. The strong build up to the Survivor Series PPV continued, with RAW's top superstar, Roman Reigns still out of action along with Bray Wyatt.

Kane, who made a surprise return to WWE a few weeks ago, further established his dominance by taking out Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and surprise, Daniel Bryan. Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman made their much-awaited returns, with Stephanie McMahon returning to torment the face authorities.

We look at five major talking points from this week's episode, as the road to Survivor Series is on the way.

#5 Battle of the McMahons, yet again!

The verbal assaults have just begun.
The verbal assaults have just begun.

Last week's Under Seige segment led by Shane McMahon became a massive talking point in the WWE Universe and naturally led to the return of his sister, commissioner of RAW, Stephanie McMahon.

Stephanie was last seen on WWE television crashing through a table at Wrestlemania six months ago, and her return brings back her weekly taunts given to the face superstars. She will also ignite a McMahon feud yet again, and the fans will not be enthusiastic to see a McMahon rivalry one more time.

Stephanie McMahon is a great heel character, and she should be used appropriately or else her gimmick of destroying faces on the mic will become stale soon.

#4 Big Red Machine is on the hunt

Kane
The "Big Red Machine" has disastrous plans for his opponents

Kane returned on the go-home edition of RAW, destroyed Roman Reigns, took out Strowman at TLC, defeated Finn Balor and Seth Rollins in two consecutive weeks and to top it all choke-slammed his former teammate Daniel Bryan.

Kane is being given a monstrous push by WWE in this run of his career, and it will be interesting to see if he faces Braun Strowman soon. Also, his attack on Daniel Bryan will once again start the rumours of Strowman's return to the squared circle.

Bryan returning at Survivor Series to lead the Team Blue against Kurt Angle's RAW team will be one of the biggest moments ever in WWE history. It remains to be seen what consequences will the attack on Bryan have to lead into Survivor Series.

#3 What's next for the Destroyer?

The Destroyer looks to regain his position on RAW

Samoa Joe returned to RAW this week and immediately made the WWE Universe feel his presence by destroying Apollo Crews. Joe has been out of action for over two months due to an injury that has also derailed his momentum a bit.

Joe hovered around the main-event scene of RAW before unfortunately succumbing to an injury. However, he remains a star attraction on RAW, as his brilliant feud with Brock Lesnar was one of the best feuds of this calendar year.

Joe needs to be put right back where he belongs, the main-event program and the Samoan Submission Machine will look to tear the house down once again.

#2 A Slappy Finish

Knockout Punch to end the night.
Knockout Punch to end the night.

Ever since Stephanie McMahon introduced Sasha Banks, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch to the WWE Universe in 2015, the term "Women's Revolution" has been thrown out a number of times.

Banks has talked about how they are different from the "divas" in the previous era and have made women's wrestling better.

However, Alexa Bliss won the main event of tonight's RAW with a SLAP in the face of Mickie James, which was a horrendous way to end the match. James is here to put younger superstars over, but a pin-fall win for Bliss in that fashion is a slap in the face of Women's Revolution.

Hopefully, such moments are avoided in future or else women's wrestling will continue to remain the side-show it always has been.

#1 The "Monster Among Men" is back

You can't get away with such a big crime Miz!
You can't get away after such a big mistake Miz!

Miz ordered his teammates to throw Strowman into the garbage truck at TLC and at that very instant he knew he had made a costly mistake.

The threat of the Monster loomed large throughout the show, and he finally made his return after the Bliss-James match to destroy the MizTourage.

Strowman seemed to have turned babyface after the events at TLC and his actions during the show have cemented his face turn. Strowman has been hugely over with the WWE Universe for quite some time now, and a face turn for the Monster Among Men was the perfect decision made by WWE.

Kane is looking to destroy Strowman, and the Monsters will collide soon. Expect their confrontation to be a 'monstrous' affair.
