WWE finished its final set of tapings from England with this episode of Smackdown Live, and boy what a satisfying episode it was!

Smackdown Live featured a major WWE championship match in which Jinder Mahal went up against the "Phenomenal One", AJ Styles. In probably the best match of his career, Jinder Mahal put up a great fight against Styles. However, Styles came out on top and shocked the entire WWE Universe.

This episode was full of amazing segments from top to bottom. Let's look at five biggest takeaways from last night's Smackdown Live.

#5 Job well done!

Celebration for the Under Seige 2.0
Celebration of the Under Seige 2.0

Shane McMahon, the captain of Smackdown Survivor Series team, opened up this edition of SDL and explained how SDL is slowly becoming the top show in WWE. He went on to congratulate the New Day for the chaos they caused on RAW.

This led to the New Day coming out and explaining their actions from the night before, with their UnderSeige2.0 creating madness during the main event of RAW. The New Day is leading the charge for SDL against RAW, and their appearance on RAW was a major up for the blue brand.

The New Day is still off the Survivor Series card but are rumoured to be facing the Shield at the pay-per-view. If the match unfolds, expect fireworks all around!

#4 No Rusev Day at Survivor Series.

The Bulgarian Lion will not roar at Survivor Series.
The Bulgarian Lion will not roar at Survivor Series.

Rusev is currently in a great position on Smackdown Live, with his partnership with Aiden English and backstage segments helping him gain some prominence. His qualifying match against AJ Styles was scrapped in favour of a match against Randy Orton.

Rusev lost the match and also his opportunity to feature for the blue brand. He could have used some spotlight in a mega-match but WWE's decision to keep him off the Survivor Series card will be baffling for many.

As of now, the fifth spot belongs to John Cena, who returns to WWE and Smackdown after a short hiatus. No Rusev Day in Houston.

#3 Battle for Gender Supremacy.

Becky disarmed him!
Becky disarmed him!

WWE advertised an intergender match for this week's Smackdown Live, a rare sight after many years. It featured two long-time 'rivals' Becky Lynch and James Ellsworth going one-on-one against each other.

The match was all kinds of fun for the WWE Universe in attendance, with them chanting 'Becky's gonna kill you' and 'Where's your chin' at Ellsworth. Becky made Ellsworth tap out to the Disarm-Her or should we call it Disarm-Him?

It was an innovative move by WWE which resulted in a hilarious segment of professional wrestling. More segments like this, please!

#2 The Usos vs The Bar

Its not paranoia
It's not paranoia

The Survivor Series went through a major change on Monday night due to Shield's loss against Sheamus and Cesaro. Usos faced off against the team of Gable and Benjamin with the titles on the line. However, they made sure they remained the champs going into the PPV with a solid heel move.

The Usos have been on fire of late with their tweener role and continued the same on SDL this week. Gable and Benjamin earned the right to challenge the Usos, but the Samoans made sure they remained the top team on SDL.

Sheamus-Cesaro and the Usos, both have dominated the tag team division with their performances. A show-stealing match between these two is definitely on the cards.

#1 The Phenomenal One vs The Beast Incarnate!

Is this the real life? Or is it just fantasy?
Is this the real life? Or is it just fantasy?

AJ Styles facing off against Brock Lesnar in the main event of Survivor Series 2017. Imagine hearing this few years ago! The decision to put the title on Styles was a surprising one by WWE and put the entire fanbase in frenzy.

The decision was reportedly taken after WWE realized that the fans were not hot for Jinder vs. Lesnar.

Styles has been one of the finest workers in WWE for quite some time now and giving him the top recognition is actually 'best for business'. Brock Lesnar vs AJ Styles is a huge dream match in WWE which has finally got the green light.

If Brock Lesnar ditches his regular suplex styled matches and performs as the Lesnar of old, a historical match shall unfold during the main event.
