A former WWE NXT tag team champion was recently granted his release from the company. He wasn't happy with how things had been for him and the release gives Cara a new lease on life professionally.

He recently appeared for Triple-A in Mexico at their Guerra de Titans event. His appearance was met with a great deal of fanfare, likely much to the chagrin of WWE brass. The decision on a name change is likely tied to his appearance for Lucha Libre AAA.

A major reason as to why he may appear in AEW is tied to the relationship of the promotions with one another. Fans will recall how Kenny Omega is now a Mega Champion and that the Lucha Bros and Young Bucks have competed there as well. While it isn't a given that he will be there that isn't to say he may not be either.
