Just after we met Mahal, we overheard him talking with another fan close by. The man in question told Jinder that WWE were underutilising him, and that “you should be a World Champ one day man”.
Ironically enough, just over a month to six weeks of that statement being made, Mahal was lifting the WWE Championship up high at the Backlash pay-per-view.
It’s mad to consider how quickly he progressed in such a short space of time, especially considering that he was a jobber to the stars for the majority of his WWE career. I guess it’s true what they say – never say never, because we aren’t sure that even the fan in question believed what he was saying that night.
