The NXT Cruiserweight Champion returned to confront Diamond Mine last Tuesday. Malcolm Bivens wasted little time in making the championship match between Strong and KUSHIDA official for next week.
The Timestopper hasn’t had the best of title reigns since his victory over Santos Escobar. He has defended his title once against Carmelo Hayes, and the injury has affected his momentum. Meanwhile, Roderick Strong needs to pick up a few victories to make his faction look stronger.
On this week’s show, WWE must allow Strong to defeat KUSHIDA with the help of his faction. The victory will allow Diamond Mine to come across as a threatening faction.
