#3 AJ Styles defends the WWE Championship in a classic match
SmackDown Live witnessed an impromptu match between AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan for the WWE Championship. Notably, the Phenomenal One won the match by forcing the Yes! Man to submit to the Calf Crusher.
Interestingly, Samoa Joe attacked both these men from behind after the match was over. This has resulted in a WWE Championship match between the champion and the Samoan at the Crown Jewel. Although this might have come as Daniel Bryan won’t be willing to go to Riyadh, the newly scheduled match is the one which the fans won’t want to miss.
The participants from Friday have faced each other for a couple of times in the past, where Styles has always come out on the top. Hence, it is obvious that WWE won’t want him to drop the championship, especially so close to Survivor Series. Notably, Styles won the championship just before this PPV last year by defeating Jinder Mahal.
