5 things that could happen during Ronda Rousey's contract signing

So much could happen at the Elimination Chamber?
So much could happen at the Elimination Chamber?

It's been a few weeks since Ronda Rousey showed up at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event. At the same time, the aftermath of her appearance can be felt even now! It was a great way to cap off the first pay-per-view of the year. The question remains... what's next for the legendary MMA megastar?

The question was answered during this week's episode of RAW. Rousey will be signing her contract and becoming a part of the RAW roster in a mere two weeks. She will be officially signing her contract at the RAW-exclusive Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

Any long-time WWE viewer knows that contract signings are just setups for massive plot twists. What could be in store for us when Elimination Chamber comes around?

We explore five possibilities for the highly anticipated contract signing segment.

#5 Asuka faces off with Ronda Rousey

Could these two powerhouses clash at WrestleMania?

Ronda Rousey essentially showed up at the Royal Rumble, in the storyline, of course, to ruin Asuka's moment. Asuka could show up, in turn, to ruin Ronda Rousey's big contract signing! What this will achieve is the tease of a big match. It is certainly the most intriguing contest that could essentially take place.

Asuka has seemed absolutely unstoppable since she arrived in NXT. She's seemed just as invincible since her arrival on RAW, in the recent past. If anyone can end her streak, it is a legitimate fighter much like Ronda Rousey.

What is often overlooked is Asuka's ability to carry an opponent, especially when she's green. Rousey may be new to the dance, but with a dance partner as good as Asuka, she can put on a real clinic.

We believe that it's almost a foregone conclusion that Asuka will not lose to Nia Jax at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.

#4 Charlotte Flair invites Rousey to SmackDown

Could Ronda Rousey be headed to the blue brand?
Could Ronda Rousey be headed to the blue brand?

Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey is another feud that has the legs to be a really compelling encounter. What if Charlotte Flair shows up right when Rousey is about to sign? What if Charlotte Flair says that the real fight is waiting for Rousey on SmackDown Live? It's something that the show desperately needs.

As good as some episodes of SmackDown Live are, the show just feels like an inferior version of RAW. Ronda Rousey's star power can make the show feel very special indeed. Plus, who wouldn't want to see Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey trading blows?

Flair has been showcased as the greatest Women's Champion in WWE history. Rousey has proved that she is possibly the biggest name in MMA history.

Their encounter would be a clash between two diverse genres of sports and entertainment, to create an iconic moment for the entire WWE Universe.

#3 Ronda Rousey locks Stephanie McMahon in a submission

Could Rousey be returning to finish what she started?
Could Rousey be returning to finish what she started?

Yes, Ronda Rousey and Stephanie McMahon did shake hands at the Royal Rumble, but this was not always the case. Cast your mind back to WrestleMania 31. Ronda Rousey and The Rock had confronted Stephanie McMahon and Triple H. The babyfaces got the better of the heels on that day.

What if Rousey was just nice during the Royal Rumble, to get this opportunity and renew hostilities with Stephanie McMahon once again? It would definitely get mainstream attention from across the world if this were to happen. Rousey would effectively become a Tweener then, neither a babyface...nor a heel!

#2 Rousey calls out the Elimination Chamber match winner

Could Alexa Bliss' Elimination Chamber win be short lived?
Could Bliss and Rousey be on a collision course?

Alexa Bliss' reign as RAW Women's Champion has been fraught with criticism. She's not the best worker in the Women's Division, and yet she's been booked to look absolutely invincible. Maybe the need of the hour is for Ronda Rousey to end her dominant run. The WWE Universe would certainly love it.

Let's assume for the sake of argument that Alexa Bliss wins the Elimination Chamber match, at the pay-per-view event. Her celebrations could be short-lived with Ronda Rousey challenging her for the top prize. It would certainly be a WrestleMania calibre match.

Alternatively, Rousey could challenge whoever won the big match. Having Alexa Bliss in a feud with Ronda Rousey does make sense though because Rousey's not the best on the microphone and Bliss can carry her for the length of the program.

#1 Surprise appearance by the Four Horsewomen

This match can hide Ronda Rousey's weaknesses
This match can hide Ronda Rousey's weaknesses in the squared circle

Until recently, there existed two groups called the 'Four Horsewomen of Wrestling' comprising Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Bayley and 'The Four Horsewomen of MMA' comprising Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke. We believe, right now, both groups can be called the 'Four Horsewomen of Wrestling'.

After all, all of them were ringside at the Mae Young Classic where Baszler blazed through the competition. Baszler is now one of NXT's top stars, while Shafir was part of the memorable Strong-Roode storyline on NXT. Of course, Rousey is the lady we're discussing.

As has been teased several times in the past, we wouldn't be surprised if Rousey invited her friends on screen and demanded Stephanie McMahon had to sign all of them to the main roster. This could lead to a 'Four Horsewomen' vs 'Four Horsewomen' feud for WrestleMania, which would be a huge deal.

A multi-woman affair would also help the in-ring weaknesses of the MMA stars from getting exposed at WrestleMania.
