#4 The 24/7 title

Admit it. The 24/7 title was a good idea when you consider its actual purpose.
Admit it. The 24/7 title was a good idea when you consider its actual purpose.

Let's talk about expectations versus reality. While the WWE Universe had the expectation of the disfigured hardcore title making its big comeback, they were instead greeted with a kid toy looking green belt called the 24/7 title. Of course, fans instantly panned the idea as ridiculous and not what they had in mind when it comes to a new title, but they failed to realize the real purpose of the belt.

In fact, they totally glossed over the fact that the belt was obviously just a way to give the mid-card guys something to do, which it has done so far and threatened to quit watching over the big reveal. Unfortunately for the WWE, a lot of fans followed through on that promise, thus showing just how fickle they are.

Seriously though. If fans are going to get that upset about a mid-card title meant to give a bunch of no names something to do in comic relief segments, then they were just looking for a reason to not watch the product anyway. Beyond that, it also proves the paradox WWE has to deal with when it comes to fans and pleasing them.
