5 Things we learnt on WWE RAW (April 16, 2018)

The WWE Superstar Shake-Up has started with a bang. A number of Superstars have moved to the red brand including Jinder Mahal, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and Dolph Ziggler amongst others while The Miz has notably moved over to SmackDown.

Let's take a look at five things we learnt from the show.

#5 Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre are a perfect match

Dolph Ziggler made his return to RAW and was interrupted by Titus Worldwide. Titus O' Neil offered Ziggler the chance to join them but Dolph revealed that he hadn't come alone.

Former NXT Champion Drew McIntyre attacked Crews and O'Neil from behind and Dolph joined him in taking out Titus Worldwide.

It's clear that Ziggler and McIntyre are a duo now and there are strong shades of Shawn Michaels and Diesel. This could be the career renaissance Ziggler has waited for.

#4 Roman is still getting booed out of the building

It looks like WWE's plan to try to get Roman over as a bruised, beaten now babyface isn't going well. Roman got booed loudly and clearly in Hartford and his adversary, Samoa Joe, who is supposed to be the heel in the situation got loud and vociferous cheers.

It looks like WWE should have just put the title on Roman at WrestleMania instead of waiting and hoping the loss helped him look vulnerable and sympathetic.

#3 The McMahon vs Angle-Rousey feud is far from over

Ronda Rousey followed up her feats at WrestleMania by doing more damage to Stephanie McMahon last week on RAW.

Although Stephanie wasn't on RAW this week, Kurt Angle warned Rousey to expect retribution from Stephanie. With Rousey coming out to save Natalya from Absolution, could we see Stephanie hire them as her henchwomen?

#2 We're getting Miz vs Daniel Bryan

We're finally getting the Daniel Bryan vs Miz feud that Talking Smack made us yearn for. Kurt Angle told the Miz that he was being traded to SmackDown after a request from Shane McMahon because former GM Daniel Bryan had unfinished business with him.

Miz is one of the best heels in WWE. Bryan is arguably WWE's most popular babyface. This feud will be epic. I can feel it.

#1 SmackDown is still the 'house that AJ Styles built

There were rumours ahead of the Superstar Shake-Up that WWE Champion AJ Styles could be headed to RAW. However, that doesn't seem likely anymore. Styles will remain on SmackDown and continue his feud with Shinsuke Nakamura, by the looks of it.

And that's great news for SmackDown. The blue brand has lost a number of people in the Shake-Up already and losing their champion could have really hurt. AJ is here to stay, for now.
