Is WWE pressuring Dean Ambrose to stay?

That's the way it seems after Michael Cole explained to the WWE Universe that the reason this is The Shield's last ride is due to the fact that Ambrose is refusing to sign a new contract with the company, which could be a great bargaining tool if used right. Maybe it could even be what ultimately keeps Ambrose with WWE if the company plays its cards right.

Let's be honest here. WWE announcing this puts a lot of pressure on Dean Ambrose to re-sign also puts the fans into the conversation in the process. If nothing else, this was the company's way of putting everything on Dean Ambrose and making sure the fans know that he is the one that will have to make the decision.

In the end, it's a bold move that blurs the line between fiction and reality, but could also be effective in keeping Ambrose with WWE. If not, however, WWE loses nothing with this move in the process and are at least giving Ambrose one last great ride before he exits the company for good after WrestleMania 35.
