#4 Tournaments
This one seems a bit backwards, with the King of the Ring being one of the WWE's most iconic events, but Vince McMahon reportedly hates the idea of a tournament.
Whilst facts are unclear why, it is reportedly because of WrestleMania 4 in 1988, which featured a massive tournament bracket, that saw 'Macho Man' Randy Savage win the vacant WWF Championship in the finals against Ted DiBiase.
However, the show underperformed, delivering well below the lofty standards set by WrestleMania 3, and The Showcase of the Immortals has never featured another tournament on one night ever again.
The last King of the Ring pay per view took place in 2002, and whilst there have been 4 tournaments since (2006, 2008, 2010, 2015), it seems the company remains hesitant to use it again.
