5 things WWE told us subtly on SmackDown Live (20 November 2018)

Do it with flair!
Do it with flair!

Charlotte Flair fought for her brand this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series, and the way she attacked Ronda Rousey after the match caused heads to turn, and some questioned her actions.

While this was the only talking point during and after Survivor Series for the blue brand, the show did offer us an insight into why the 2nd generation superstar did what she did. Paige also fined her US$100,000.

After all was said and done, the show did leave us with some good moments, and some not so happy moments as well. It also gave us an insight into what we should expect from the show in the coming weeks, and how things shall shape up as we head towards TLC in December, and Royal Rumble next year.

In this article, I take a look at 5 things the company told us subtly on SmackDown Live.

#5 Daniel Bryan will face AJ Styles at WWE TLC

'Yes Movement' is dead
'Yes Movement' is dead

Daniel Bryan came to the ring to address his performance at Survivor Series. The wrestler has been in a different mood since last week when he turned heel, and it looked like he would use the same techniques to win the match on Sunday, but he lost to the reigning, defending, undisputed Universal Champion, Brock Lesnar.

While the same was disheartening, the fact that the WWE Champion called the 'Yes Movement' dead, and also mentioned AJ Styles in his promo, it is evident that the current WWE Champion would face The Phenomenal wrestler at WWE TLC.

This would also mean that the two wrestlers could cut a promo in the coming weeks, and the landscape of Tuesday nights will never be the same again as these performers would be awesome at both promos and in-ring action.

#4 Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio fight for their heritage

It's all about legacy!
It's all about legacy!

Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio have been in a war of words, and also in a fight that has been around for a long time. The same re-ignited when Rey Mysterio eliminated Randy Orton at the Greatest Royal Rumble. Since the incident, the 2nd generation superstar has been attacking the Mexican high-flyer in some way.

During last week's SmackDown, 'The Viper' tried to attack The Master of 619, but to no avail. This week the two fought in a match where the former took out the latter's mask, which is considered to be a reason of pride in the Mexican community.

It also seemed like Rey Mysterio was injured in the match, but in an attempt to take care of his legacy, the high-flyer would get inside the ring, and it will be great if the two fight for their legacy in a ladder match at WWE TLC.

#3 The tag team division shall continue to suffer

The tag eam division needs revamping!
The tag team division needs revamping!

WWE is promoting their singles competitors while the tag team division has been on a downhill. While the situation stands true for both brands, SmackDown Live is in real trouble on this front.

The brand showcased a segment where The New Day came out and cut a promo which was interrupted by The Bar. Despite multiple attempts, the segment and the match didn't entice fans at all.

What is really shocking is the fact that despite wonderful performers like The Usos, the company is paying no heed to them. The wrestlers were the solo winners for the blue brand, and despite the fact that their match took place at kickoff, their performance was simply amazing.

With such promos and the quality of the match, it is sure the company wants the tag team division to suffer.

#2 The Miz and Shane McMahon will fight at WWE TLC

Awesome Money!
Awesome Money!

This Tuesday night we saw Shane McMahon come to the ring and be the special guest for the most must-see show, Miz TV. The Miz who is a permanent host of the show often brings in superstars that shall be a part of a feud, or enhance their respective storylines.

In the past, we have seen AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan on the show along with some more powerful performers who have raised the stakes of their feuds going into various pay-per-views. Despite the fact that Miz has been in feuds with other wrestlers on the show, it was speculated that he would be going against his adversary Daniel Bryan.

However, if we look at the way this storyline changed to a tag team match where The Miz and Shane McMahon faced The Bryant Brothers, and The Awesome superstar got the pin, it is a possibility that this feud will catapult into a singles chairs match at WWE TLC.

#1 Peyton Royce will get a push

IIConic Push!
IIConic Push!

Peyton Royce has been impressive since her NXT days, and ever since she moved to Tuesday nights with her friend Billie Kay, she has been a part of lacklustre storylines. Her work has always impressed fans, and it seems like WWE officials have also taken notice of the same.

While both members of 'The IIConics' are good in their own right, Peyton Royce has an upper edge over Billie Kay, as she can perform well in the ring and on the mic. Her work is always on point, and if she is given the guidance, and support from the team, as well as fellow superstars, she could turn into an amazing performer.

This would be a great idea, considering the fact that the SmackDown Women's Champion isn't in the ring right now but under medication.

A powerful performer would be a great idea, and there is no better way to make things better than by promoting another up and coming performer in the process.
